Rodin Terms & Conditions
rodin3ds.com is an independent guide to Rodin AI, not the official Hyper3D product site (see our About page). This page does two things: summarizes what Hyper3D's own Terms of Service say if you create a Rodin account, and covers rodin3ds.com's own, much simpler terms for using this content site. If anything here conflicts with Hyper3D's published terms, the published terms control.
Two different agreements
It's worth separating these clearly. Hyper3D's Terms of Service govern your relationship with the actual Rodin product - the account you create, the credits you spend, the output you generate - and that's what most of this page summarizes, sourced from Hyper3D's own published terms. rodin3ds.com's own terms of use, covered near the bottom of this page, govern nothing more than browsing this independent guide site. You don't need a Rodin account to read this site, and reading this site doesn't put you under Hyper3D's agreement.
Who can sign up, and what you're responsible for
- Minimum age: you must be at least 18 years old to hold a Rodin account.
- Account security: you're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity on your account.
- No unauthorized transfers: accounts can't be transferred to another person without Hyper3D's written permission.
- Username reclaiming: Hyper3D may reclaim a username if there's a legitimate legal claim to it (such as a trademark).
How Rodin's virtual currency and billing work

This lines up with the pay-by-result model described on the pricing and credits page - generation itself doesn't spend a credit, only a confirmed download does, and that's the "AI service" the non-refundable clause above applies to once delivered.
Who owns what you generate on Rodin
Rodin-generated output
Hyper3D's terms state it "will not limit your use of such output," subject to the restrictions described elsewhere in the agreement - most notably the prohibited-use rules covered below. You can also keep generated content private rather than shared with other users.
ChatAvatar output
Handled a little differently: personal, non-commercial use is covered by default under a Creative Commons-style license. Commercial or derivative use requires purchasing a separate license, which grants a non-exclusive, revocable right to use the content that way.
What Hyper3D retains
The company retains ownership of its own intellectual property - the models, the platform, the brand - separate from the prompts and outputs covered above. You're required to warrant that your own prompts don't infringe someone else's rights, and Hyper3D reserves the right to review and remove content that violates the agreement, along with a standard DMCA takedown process for copyright claims.
What you can't generate or do on Rodin
These restrictions apply on top of the "we won't limit your use of output" language above - the output-ownership terms don't override the prohibited-use rules.
What Hyper3D is and isn't responsible for
Rodin's services are provided "as is," without warranties. Hyper3D's terms cap its maximum aggregate liability at $100 or the amount you've paid, whichever applies, and exclude liability for user error, server issues, third-party attacks, and force majeure events. That cap doesn't apply to fraud, death, bodily injury, or violations of law, which are carved out as exceptions.
How a Rodin account can end
Hyper3D can suspend or terminate an account without notice for violations of the agreement, and content remaining on a terminated account may be deleted. A specific set of sections in the terms - covering things like liability, dispute resolution, and IP - are written to survive termination, meaning they keep applying even after an account is closed.
How disagreements over a Rodin account get resolved
Hyper3D's terms require a 60-day informal resolution period before anything formal. After that, disputes go to mandatory individual arbitration through the National Arbitration and Mediation service (NAM) rather than a courtroom - and specifically, class actions aren't permitted; each claim is handled individually, though the terms describe a batch-arbitration process for groups of 25 or more similar claims filed together. Small claims court and requests for injunctive relief are carved out as exceptions to the arbitration requirement.
